The
inside of the tunnel for observations
The tunnel for observations is the full length of 30 m. The inside
is divided into 4 rooms and the seismograph is installed in the
most back of the rooms. All telemeter equipment is installed in
the most front of the rooms. The front small blue box in the photograph
is the surge arrest transformer, the case of the following cream
is a damp proof case which contained the telemeter in connection

The inside of the damp proof case
The dampproof case is equipped with the small air-conditioner
for keeping constant the inside temperature and humidity. From
the top, the satellite modem (NEC-made BOD), and data transformation
equipment {LT 8500, STS2 controller, and the uninterruptible power
